Stunning location, beautiful accommodation with every detail thought of to make your stay wonderful. Extremely comfortable beds, little touches in the rooms which were lovely.

Whilst the breakfast and lunch were delicious with many options, the dinner menu was limited. I’m a vegetarian and specifically rang beforehand to ask about dinner options and was told there were “plenty”. Pasta with veg or a veg curry are not very imaginative and I expected more considering the excellent breakfast and lunch options.

Wow!! Amazing stay. Super romantic place, the house has an amazing view over the valley and it feels really private, because the other houses aren’t too nearby, but there’s lots of places to sit (next to your own beautiful balcony). Everything you need is available or can be arranged. Of course you have no other restaurants nearby, but the restaurant of this place is really cosy and the food is really nice. And: when we came back from dinner to go to bed, they prepared our beds (with the mosquito net and a warm water “bottle” at your feet to warm you up). Really amazing!!! Also the bath was filled with warm water super easily. It really is as if you are in a movie!! Also the staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really amazing: you can choose something like eggs or pancakes and there is also a cold buffet. The way here is not really super easy, you have to go up quite a bit, but that’s doable. And, nearby Addo NP which is great :) We didn’t do any game drives with this place, just did it ourselves. Too bad we stayed only one night because it’s SO cute & romantic!

The pool was cold of course, but even in August we took one dive :-) & There are not too many options for dinner: you get 3 courses of meat/fish/vegetarian for R490-€25, but that’s okay. Really well done! :) Also: they can do your laundry, which is a luxury, but you pay quite a lot (R400-€20 per small bag!). I’d suggest doing it at Addo for example.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! We chose the tent accommodation and it was an amazing experience, living in the middle of the forest on a mountain, yet in a very comfortable and beautifully arranged tent. The room was decorated with great attention to detail, and every evening the staff brought us hot water bottles for the bed, which was such a thoughtful touch. The hotel's restaurant is excellent, both the food and the service were outstanding. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would definitely recommend this place!

The only downside was that on our last night there was a thunderstorm, the electricity went out, and there was no hot water until our check-out. Unfortunately, it hadn't been fixed by the time we left.

Atemberaubende Aussicht, sehr leckeres Essen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Die Safari war toll, wir haben sehr viele Tiere gesehen auch Löwen. Die Rangerin war sehr informativ und wir sind fast 6 Stunden unterwegs gewesen um alles zu sehen. Abends wurden die Betten mit Wärmflaschen vorgewärmt und morgens gab es heißes Wasser vor der Tür, um sich Tee oder Kaffee machen zu können.

Het is een behoorlijk stuk rijden op een gravel weg, maar dat is het zeker waard. De locatie is ronduit schitterend. Je krijgt een ‘Out of Africa’ gevoel in Camp Figtree. De tent waarin we sliepen, droeg daar zeker aan bij. Deze had overigens alle faciliteiten van een hotelkamer We hadden een gamedrive voor een hele dag, met een goed verzorgde picknick. Absoluut een aanrader.

Niet alle personeelsleden waren even attent.

Needed something else to do besides game drives and hiking.
