Garner Hotel Chesterfield North by IHG

It was good value.

Friendly efficient welcome. Good shower Easy parking. Good access for motorway and overnight stop. The room was in quiet corridor ( inside!)

Didn't find the bed overly comfortable. The wooden units could have been a bit cleaner in the bedside units. People talking loudly late at night, while smoking outside at table ( we were in 226)

We paid for early booking as had a funeral. The room smelt terrible of smoke and as non smokers couldn’t change there so left immediately and went to a friends house to change.

The smell of smoke, the threadbare carpet and the bed was so hard it felt like lying on concrete. Have been staying there for 30 years and it was the worse night ever.
