The Slipway Cabins with Hottub

Unfortunately this stay fell well below our expectations. On arrival the hot tub was cold and remained unusable throughout our first evening despite multiple calls and attempted repairs. The property’s only heating source repeatedly stopped working and remained unresolved despite somebody attending the cabin. There was also no heating in the bathrooms, no hot water from the bathroom taps, and one bathroom door would not latch closed. We also encountered a number of cleanliness issues on arrival including hairs in bathroom areas, urine and dirt behind a toilet seat, toothpaste residue on a sink and a dirty dish towel. We reported the issues immediately and spent much of our first evening attempting to resolve them rather than enjoying our stay. Due to the number of unresolved issues we checked out after one night and booked alternative accommodation. I was also disappointed with the way the complaint was handled after our stay. Whilst attempts were made to address some issues during our visit, I felt that several key concerns were not properly acknowledged. I provided detailed written representations together with photographs, videos and supporting evidence, however responses were often delayed and some points continued to be disputed despite evidence to the contrary. One particular point of frustration was that the hosts continued to maintain that they were unaware we would be checking out early, despite us informing the owner in person. I also have it in writing from Booking.com that they also informed the property that we would be checking out the next morning. Similarly, they also claimed that they resolved some issues like the hot tub ‘within one hour’ which I have refuted with call logs to the hot tub engineer well into the evening. As a result, what should have been a straightforward resolution became a lengthy and frustrating process and is yet to be resolved.

Wasn't very clean and when issues addressed to owners there was no offer to come and rectify the issues. Cabin hadn't been hoovered, very dirty floors and couch was covered in watermarks and stains. Didn't give cabin vibes inside and outdoor space needed a good clean up as well. Washing was left in the tumble drier and bathroom doors didnt lock properly.

Excellent property, great location. Immaculate inside and cosy! Although we didn’t use the appliances it had everything you needed! Hot tub was lovely and hot.
