"The essence of southern charm!!"

It was isolated but within 25 minutes of anything you wanted! It’s an excellent break away from modern technology, in a beautiful setting with amazing dinner options and welcoming hosts with great conversation!!

The fact we had to leave!!

This B&B was exceptional in every way. Spacious and airy, very clean, most comfortable bed (!!!!), great breakfast, beautiful grounds, and an architectural gem - just perfect. Hosts were attentive, very hospitable, and knowledgable - very accommodating as we had a late arrival due to a delayed flight. We've stayed in a lot of nice B&B's over the years- and Gillen House would have to rate among the very best. The house is also on the National Register of Historic Places - which is a big plus for us. The countryside is beautiful, and only a short distance from Athens.

That I didn't know about it sooner. We've been coming to Athens for years while our daughter was at UGA. I'm sorry I didn't discover Gillen House until recently. We would have stayed here every trip.
