GBHad a one night stay, great room and a shower to die for. Also had an evening meal that was delicious. Superb selection of beers on tap. The staff were so helpful

GBThe staff in the bar, the servers and the house keeper we met were all friendly, kind and so helpful. The Chef/s were outstanding. Every meal was fabulous, fresh and so well cooked.
Comments relate to room 2 - we had no hot water 2 nights out of 3 which i found very distressing and we considered leaving early. WiFi didn’t work in the room, if you need to work or keep in touch via internet at all you won’t be able to. The kettle doesn’t turn itself off like normal and i came out of the bathroom to find it bubbling out and over. The room is a large double but only set up for one person - one bottle of water, one pack of biscuits, unusual. Only 4 hangers. Also only one chair. Most adults don’t like to sit on beds to watch tv / have a drink like teenagers. The room is so lovely and large a second chair and small table between the windows would be an excellent addition The bathroom is beautiful but so much is missing - No towel rail next to the sink, we had to tuck the towel in the drawer. No towel hooks to hang your towel outside the shower, we had to put them on the floor, also no hooks to hang it to dry. Also there is nowhere to put toiletries in the shower, a simple corner shelf would be perfect. Again we had to put anything we used on the floor. Dinner on the first night was slightly spoiled by a 45 minute wait for food and an illegally propped open fire door and the restaurant smelling of smoking from outside.

Upon our arrival we were notified late afternoon on a Sunday that the table Id booked for the evening with my overnight 2x double rooms stay wasnt available. The pub and restaurant were full. The staff werent polite and we received a poor welcome and the lady who gave us the keys appeared uninterrested and very offhand. Be warned almost no parking onsite. We had to wait and drive around for 30min before one became available
