Gillygate Rest

Place was comfy and simple. Rated it high cos very quiet. And shower was fantastic! Bus stop very nearby, easy to get to and from main train station and other parts of town for sightseeing during mornings and daytime. On a Quiet side street. Nice kitchen with basic equipment- stove, microwave, kettle etc. and very small table

I put a cup of hot tea atop the wood kitchen counter as anyone would, and it made a white ring. I panicked that it was so easily marked as am very careful with peoples property. I texted the manager to tell her. The place was very pricey compared to a hotel I could’ve booked, I kinda regret as didn’t cook, only heated Tesco soups and maybe extra price was for small kitchen. Also, it’s a little ways out of the centre

It's in a small road thats not busy. The apartment was clean, well equipped and easy to find.

The bathroom could do with a shelf to put bits on but apart from that, perfect!

Very nice and clean accommodation with nice little kitchen and bathroom very close to the city center.

Great location. All flat walking into centre. Hole in the wall public house highly recommended.

Excellent location, just outside city gate. Also Tesco and grocery very close. Several eating spots also. The Hop On bus even stops very close. Nice information booklet supplied.

Location excellent! No parking but just around the corner long stay parking available! I didn’t expect parking as your so near the Minster (swings and roundabouts) xx

Nothing was bad all good! ( don’t get me wrong if it was free it would be A1 but in life we have to pay) could not recommend this place any more to people. (We loved it)xx

The property was very well presented & in a fantastic location to town.
