Moinho da Areia - Boutique Hotel in Azores

De kamers zijn wel wat klein in verhouding tot de prijs per nacht.

We had a wonderful stay at Moinho da Areia. We were given such a warm welcome from the very beginning. The breakfast was exceptional ( best fresh orange juice), the rooms were very comfortable. The host even prepared a lovely birthday surprise for me which made our stay even more special. Highly recommend!

The whole experience was wonderful. Cristina and Vitoria were so helpful with recommendations and made the whole space feel so welcoming and comfortable. The other guests were lovely and it was nice to have breakfast with them, and the mixed breakfast of buffet style and a la carte items is a great mix, and the cooking is amazing. There is fresh cake available throughout the day which was amazing, with some wonderful flavors. The location is perfect, just in front of the beach being able to watch all the weather the Azores has to offer, or stand on the terrace watching the surfers catch some waves. In walking distance is plenty of things like a supermarket, an art gallery, restaurants, and beaches. It's super easy to use this as your main hub for Sao Miguel, or to use it as a stop in the north center of the island. It's super close to things like Cha Gorreira, Lagoa do Foga, but also easy to access other places like Sete Cidades and Furnas for the day.

The room we stayed in had a bit of an awkward layout in regards to the bathroom.

Christina ist das Herz/ die Seele des Hauses. Ihre Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft hat uns sehr geholfen uns wohl zu Hause zu fühlen.

Wunderbar ☺️ Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln ..

Es hat einfach alles gepasst. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Meer und aus unserem Bett konnte man den Strand und die Wellen brechen sehen. Das Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet und die Auswahl ist top. Es gab zwar kein Fleisch, das hat uns aber nicht gestört. Bei gutem Wetter kann man auf der Terrasse frühstücken und dabei den Meerblick genießen. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend, es wurde sogar extra ein Kuchen für uns gebacken. Auch die Lage bietet sich hervorragend für eine Inselerkundung an. Man gelangt sehr schnell in alle Richtungen. Sollte es irgendwann nochmal nach Soa Miguel gehen, ist diese Unterkunft ein muss.

Location is great. rooms are quite small and with very tiny single window. The staff was exceptional and extremely kind. Breakfast was nice
