Lodge was beautiful, well equipped and a thoughtful design. Owners surrounding gardens were beautiful. Had BBQ facility outside. Owners were very charming and a lovely host.

"An escape from the hustle and bustle of a busy world but with everything you need on the doorstep."

From the moment you pull onto the drive, you can see and feel that you are in an idyllic place. From the outside the lodge blends tradition with modern architecture. As you open the door the rooms are filled with light and high quality furnishings a long with a fantastic, centre piece table and chairs all hand crafted. The kitchen is extremely well equipped as is the rest of the lodge. The lounge is very spacious with a lovely log burner to complement the room and create a very relaxed atmosphere. The hosts Steve and Alison are very welcoming and encourage you to enjoy the gardens, which we did, making the most of the Spring sunshine. The adjoining woodland which the lodge overlooks provided excellent walks and the welcome opportunity to stretch your legs after a 3 hour drive before enjoying a cold beer in the garden.

The only thing we would have changed is, we would have booked a longer break.
