Great house design, big living space, big kitchen fully equiped. great bathroom, sauna outdoor. great view privacy Would want to stay longer next time.

Some fix about toilet flush in smaller house. sometimes water didn't fill up the tanks.

We stayed here our last night of an 11 day trip and it was excellent. Incredible location. Beautiful, big house that was great for cooking for a large group. There were 4 beds in the main house (2 in the same room upstairs, 1 just at the top of the stairs not in a room, 1 in a room downstairs) and 1 bed in the guest house. Hot tub and sauna were delightful, we spent a couple hours watching the Northern Lights from the hot tub which is something we will never forget. Hosts were very responsive to questions and came out to look at the hot tub when it wasn’t getting hot. Beds were comfy.

Hot tub didn’t ever really get hot hot, but someone came out quickly to try to help and it did seem to get warmer after they cleared the pipes, and it was still warm enough to sit in for hours, especially with sauna to use every now and then for extra heat. The toilet in the side/guest house wouldn’t flush after the first couple uses, and the bed in the guest house didn’t have any sheets on it (we did find some in a closet in the main house, but all the other beds had sheets on them when we arrived). A few of the beds are in pretty close quarters in the main house and the upstairs bathroom doesn’t have a shower, just a bath tub. These were all very small things and we had an overwhelmingly positive stay.

We had such an amazing time at the Oceanfront Villa. Nothing could have prepared us to the moment driving down into the house and taking in the picturesque views. We were surrounded by a real life painting at every turn. The house itself is modern, spacious, and provides all necessary amenities. With the floor to ceiling windows and doors, everywhere you look in the house allows for breathtaking views of the ocean and mountain. During our trip, we got to see northern lights from our bed, spend time in the hot tub, and enjoy each other’s company is a place that truly felt like a home away from home. Our hosts were welcoming and willing to quickly respond to any questions we have. The home is only a 15-minute drive from Hvammsvik Hot Springs, which was nice for a night within the lagoons. You are within driving distance should you wish to go into Reykjavík, but honestly once here – we’d all be surprised you’d want to leave! There was plenty of storage for food to allow for eating together as a group, and all plates, utensils, and cooking equipment was easily accessible and to use to entertain in the house. The house includes a washer in dryer – so no need to overpack! As well as full bathrooms, and clean linens. We enjoyed our stay so much and the only disappointment was packing up our car to leave! Can’t wait to go back and thank you again for sharing your home with us!
