Double Room at Minster Cottage

Very clean and confortable place, easy to find and very good location. Lovely decorated and good bathroom.

I found it a bit invasive as the house was not very big and the owner was in the house most of the time. She was very kind but when I asked to leave the bags a bit early she wanted to charge me extra 25 pounds. It said that would be tea, but after they discourage people to have anything to eat in the place (they have a little booklet explain this). Not a bad place at all but only for a few days inf you spend most of the day outside. Recomended but be warned about it.

Location was excellent and the bed was very comfortable.

It would have been nice if tea and coffee were supplied and a toaster and microwave.

The room is good, clean and comfortable. The view of the Minster, though tight, is nice. Breakfast is not provided. Location at the southern end of the historic quarter and very near to river and town centre is very good

I expected to feel more welcomed in the shared lounge in the evening.

Location was great for me, clean tidy and warm, host was very friendly and helpful

I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was reasonably priced. It was weird that I was asked to take my shoes off, but apparently there was some flooding issue. I felt like I was being monitored, although I was helped regarding local facilities. It was quiet but the heating was not always on when it should have been. But this is not unusual at accommodating addresses.

Not sure if I would stay at a similar place again, there wasn’t much in the way of privacy when making a drink etc. but cheap guest houses are difficult to find and expensive.
