Cae Court Hotel

Excellent breakfast menu and food, served by very helpful staff.

The hotel was originally finished to a very high standard but our room was in need of some maintenance. Noisy bathroom fan, tap was loose and the shower pipe leaked spraying across the shower. The rest of the hotel was excellent, the Sangria restaurant was excellent and the menu, food and staff were excellent.

Breakfast was really good and easy access to town was great.

Parking was a problem.

Some of the staff were friendly !

The breakfast on the first day was terrible. I had the Spanish omelette that had obviously been reheated and was burnt on the bottom. The chorizo sausage was inedible. The main door was locked in the evening after 11pm and you had to ring to be let in. The room was cold at night and to ask for a extra cover as the central heating didn't seem to work !

But then we found the main overhead part of the shower didn't work. The dressing gowns were very small/too small for my size 14 body. And the breakfast was very disappointing, my full English was sadly lacking, bacon and sausage was overcooked, the egg was undercooked and of poor quality, only one very thin toast of cheap bread placed on the same plate and no choice of brown or seeded or any other type of bread and I had to ask for butter, the side plate had been removed so it was difficult to butter the toast without making a mess. There was no black pudding. My husband's avocado and poached egg on toast was also lacking. 1 slice of the same cheap white bread and the avocado was in fact guacamole. We were only given 1 hot drink with no refills offered. Given the nightly rate of early £150 this kind of spoilt it for us.

This hotel is excellent, very comfortable, with fantastic staff , so friendly , we loved our stay

Nice hotel but strangely up market dinner and breakfast menu for folks that are travelling for work. You don't need to spend +£40 per head on dinner (no alcohol)
