Lake Marion Inn

I liked how they let us book a room from Virginia and drive 7 hrs to arrive at 11 pm to discover that this place has closed down. I like how they left us at that time to find a room in a very limited area. Good looking out , guys!

The Lake Marion Inn is well located for travelers on I95.

The motel is old & in need of significant updating. We have a sense it was recently purchased & is being improved on a limited budget. Exterior painting is in process but no replacement of exterior wood etc. The only upgrade in the two rooms we occupied was new TVs. Our second room became unsleepable when a smoke detector in an adjacent room starting chirping as needing a new battery. Personnel from motel we unable to open door of adjacent room. Left to retrieve a “box” to trip the keyless lock. After waiting 25 or 30 minutes we put our belongings back in the car and changed motels. Santee has several new motels and quite a few older “mom and pop” motels; several being boarded up and decaying. Give owners of Lake Marion Inn “A” for effort but they have a lot of work ahead.

The lady is rude and after I was sent a message I get off work go to my room and she says she has no rooms

I booked thru you guys. The place was closed. Word is it's being condemned. Not Happy! Youd think you guys would know that kind of thing and give me a heads-up. Had to scramble around for a place to stay. I'll never use you again and I will put it out on the social and media platforms at my disposal.

Did not get a room here

Property is closed since at least August Confirmed reservation 2 hours prior to arrival yet no one found on arrival - office closed Take this property off your site! Luckily was able to find another room elsewhere I will think twice before using your site again! Obviously site at not vetted
