River Edge Yala

We were taking the whole hotel. Was very free. There was a garden big enough for children to play. There was a parking lot with enough space to park several vehicles. Very nice stay

Finding the hotel was easy as it is conveniently located near Debarawewa city. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and were greeted with a refreshing drink of King Coconut, my favorite. The food was delicious, with a standout dish made from cinnamon, which quickly became one of my favorites. Additionally, the hotel organized an enjoyable safari for us. The staff's excellent English-speaking skills made our stay even more comfortable. I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself.

This hotel provided excellent value for the price. The staff was friendly and attentive, and their assistance in arranging our safari adventure was invaluable. The on-site restaurant impressed us with its delicious and hygienic cuisine, all at a reasonable price. We recommend opting for the hotel's meals over street food options to ensure a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

Very peaceful and tranquil place to stay right by the river. The air con was a very reasonable extra charge of only 500lkr per day as I had booked room without. The room was very spacious, bed was comfortable and we really enjoyed the balcony to sit and relax on. The host was very attentive and was able to provide meals, we are thankful that she could accommodate our vegan diet too!

There are some improvements that really need to be made, unfortunately I feel I could not give a higher score because of these. Firstly, the white walls near the bed were really dirty with brown hand/ foot prints on them, these need to be wiped clean. Secondly, the door to the balcony had a broken glass panel, so we had to shove plastic bags in the hole in the glass to make sure we didn't get loads of mosquitos entering the room. Lastly, the bathroom door was missing the door handle on the inside. Which meant when you closed the door you would be locked inside (which happened to me when I first didn't realise and had to wait for my partner to get back to let me out!). It meant we had to keep the door open when using the toilet which means no privacy. Also a small thing was that there was no garbage bin/ trash can in the room or bathroom, so there was no where to put you garbage at all which was a little inconvenient. Overall we did have a good stay, but they definitely need to improve on these things for the future guests.

So cheap for such a beautiful place with AC ad well. The owner doesn't speak English but he is always smiling and helpful. We loved this place, its a pity we stayed just one night

This hotel offers exceptional value for money, ensuring maximum service and comfort. Situated along the riverbank, it exudes a feeling of liberation. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and impeccably clean. Plus, the Wi-Fi speed was impressive, adding to the overall satisfaction of the stay.

Major plus points for the extremely clean bathrooms in the rooms! With so many trees and a serene atmosphere, the surroundings were incredibly laid back. Let's not forget about the delectable cuisine and beverages! The best thing, though? The hotel arranged for us to go on a safari directly from their end. made our trip even more amazing!
