Central City Convenience At The Salt District

We arrived to a completely uncleaned house and had to wait an hour for cleaners to complete the cleaning. While the cleaners themselves were polite, the actual cleaning was a sham. They never changed the duvet covers from the previous guests, left wrinkled sheets, and didn’t remove a single piece of dirty linen when they left. This raised my concerns, Traveling with a 1-year-old, basic hygiene is critical. When I confronted the host, he openly admitted they never wash or change the duvet covers between stays and dismissed my concerns about the sheets. He was incredibly defensive and did not apologize even once.We felt so unsafe with the lack of sanitation that we had to go out and buy our own blankets. To top it all off, the host agreed to a meager $20 refund for this ordeal, which he still has not paid.

Location was perfect. The apartment had everything that I needed for my stay. Really appreciated how close it is to pak n save as well as multiple food court type establishments. Walking distance to town and stadium.

I am hot drink person and really would've appreciated some milk on arrival to make myself a hot drink. Christchurch is super cold and I arrived in the late afternoon, didnt know where nearest shop was either. Also parking might be good because only off street parking is available so you may want to consider this if you have a vehicle. I also had to listen to rhe club next door from late at night to early hours if the morning...I popped a movie on to drown out the noise and slept in the lounge, it helped :)

Probably the best location in Christchurch , so close to everything (restaurants, bars ,shopping etc) Very short walk to the CBD as well. Very clean & modern apartment , with everything you need , including a cute little courtyard.

The only thing I had a problem with was parking, but we found a way.

This apartment completely met all our needs and expectations. It was clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal. It's an easy walk into downtown, there are plenty of restaurants and a grocery store nearby, and it's served by several bus routes. Highly recommended!

One minor quibble: This apartment has a combination washer/dryer. We've encountered these in several places we've stayed, and they NEVER get clothes dry. You have to let them air-dry for a couple more hours after you take them out of the dryer.

Location was good

Approved early checkin when booked. Arrived at agreed time to find apartment hadn’t been cleaned and wasn’t ready. Host was rude and told us to come back at 3pm. Apartment was still being cleaned when we arrived and had to wait longer to get into apartment. New apartment with budget furnishings. Stained and smelly bedding

The 2 storey townhouse is fairly new and was great for our stay in the city. We sat out in the small backyard a few times to enjoy the sun. It's well equipped, cosy, and quiet (except for Saturday overnights). Entry was easy with the provided keycodes and we were never really aware of people in the adjoining houses. The central city, bus exchange, and supermarket are all easily walkable.

The bar next door seems to have loud live music on Saturday evenings from 10pm to 3am Sunday morning, and even thought the house soundproofing is pretty good the noise still penetrated during the night and disturbed our sleep. Ear plugs helped a bit. We would happily stay again except on a Saturday evening. There were no scissors provided.
