Sligo Bay Lodge

The location is excellent with beautiful tranquil views of the island and water from my room which was at the front of the building. Decor was suited to the area. Our host was very attentive. We enjoyed the little balcony sipping Prosecco in the evening after dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

Only a small thing but I would have liked a full length mirror in my room.

The property was very clean and warm. This was one of the first things I noted when we entered the property. We booked a sea view room and it was absolutely gorgeous. The view was spectacular and the room had lots of space and a huge bath tub with views of the sea.

The lodge was in a perfect location across the road from the water, with great views from the room. The room was spacious and very clean with everything we needed for an overnight stay, It was very quiet at night and parking was available right outside. It was walking distance to pubs and restaurants. Porridge was provided for breakfast which was a nice touch.

Our room had a bath in the middle of the room - not in the bathroom. Some people may have thought this was great, but to me it just took up a lot of space and was useless. Without the bath there was enough room for a kitchenette and the room could have been advertised as a studio apartment.

Fabulous location. Spotless room . The owner Archie was very friendly and accommodating. He recommend the Driftwood restaurant next door to his B & B and food was excellent. 10 out of 10 for our stay with Sligo Bay Lodge. We will definitely return.

Sehr schönes helles Zimmer, Toller Ausblick aus dem Fenster, leider hat das Wetter bei uns gar nicht gepasst! Netter gemütlicher Sessel am Fenster! Sehr netter Empfang mit Keksen und Kaffee! Alles da was man braucht! Frühstück nebenan war perfekt! Sehr angenehmer Kontakt per Whatsapp mit dem Besitzer der nicht vor Ort war!

Everything was very good. but especially the easy communication with the staff (in this case a daughter and father) was just so great. They paid attention and they showed a love for their lodge and the surrounding area that was contagious and memorable.

Hmmm . . . Uh . . . (shrug shoulders). Nothing comes to mind.
