Wycliffˋs Eco Lodge

Wycliff es un anfitrion estupendo, la habitación bastante grande pero las vistas desde allí son increíbles. Me organizo un paseo en barco de 2 horas por el lago, tambien organiza otros tours, como el de Batwa. Tenéis que reservar su alojamiento, el dinero lo utiliza para ayudar a los niños.

Me gustó todo.

Eine ugandische Toilette, also nur Stehklo. Leider trotz einzelne Buchung, kamen 2 Personen dazu. Ich finde die Villa zu klein dafür und bin ausgezogen. Sehr schade

The accommodation is simple, but the experience was exceptional thanks to our outstanding host, Wycliff. From the moment we arrived, he was attentive, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Wycliff personally assisted us throughout our visit and ensured that every request was met with a smile. Through him, we arranged a beautiful hike, a scenic boat tour, and a relaxing wellness experience — all perfectly organized. If you are looking for genuine hospitality and a host who truly cares, Wycliff is the person to meet.

The shower is cold (but he can boil water for beathing). The toilet is a squat toilet and there is no door.

The villa is a community project. The bathroom has a squat toilet on the floor and a shower head in the same small space. There is no hot water. The host is absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious. The internet was via the host hot spot and frequently didn´t work. Again this is a project to help the community which is really a lovely thing. The views of the lake are spectacular.

We had an amazing stay! The accommodation is simple but comfortable, with a beautiful garden. It's just a short walk to the lakefront, and we loved being able to rent a wooden canoe. The property offers a variety of activities like a 3–5 hour hike, boat trip, community walk, and a fun craft workshop — highly recommended! The food was a true highlight (a lot of vegetarian options available).

They only have squat toilets there, but for us it was ok. Hot water is provided in a bucket, like in most places around there.

One of the most beautiful place in Uganda! The room was clean a the view from terrace is amazing. Wycliffe can arrange transport from the city or some activities. The food is also very good and all staff are very nice. Highly recommend place to visit, offering peaceful retreat.

The property is located in an idyllic setting just on the shore of Lake Bunyonyi. The view from the property is breathtaking. The moment you arrive at the Villa you realize how quiet and peaceful it is. The mattress was new and comfortable and there is a mosquito net. Wycliffe the owner and his family will make sure you feel at home, he helped me even when I was sick in the stomach, he took me to the clinic and waited there with me until I was done. The property is around 8 km from Kabale town and there is a private motorcycle taxi service on demand for 20000 shillings, both ways. There are many activities to be done including kayaking and visiting the local communities provided by Wycliffe. Also they prepare delicious meals at the Villa. One thing that I appreciated is Wycliffes effort to help the local communities. Some of the revenues of the Villa go to the poorest. Thank you so much for helping me out in time of need 💕

The bathroom we believe could of been better, but the rest was good overall.

Nice little villa perched right on the edge of Lake Bunyonyi. Bed fine, breakfast nice enough. Host recommended activities. Boat trip and hike both stunning

If you are driving to the property the road leading to the villa is treacherous at the best of times. Ditches, potholes, downright dangerous. That’s when it’s dry. When it rains it’s impassable. We needed the help of 10 and more men to dig our 4x4 out of the mud, after which they basically resurfaced the dangerous part of the road. That should have been sorted months ago. No prior warning from the host. Took is 3 hours to get away from the property. Very disappointing, very stressful. Think really hard before deciding if this the experience you want.
