Trebartha East The Round House

An exceptional place, an incredibly beautiful house in an amazing location. You truly feel like you’re a guest in an architect’s house. There are only 4 rooms on the round house. The luxury is in simplicity, beautiful materials, perfect service, delicious food. The staff is kind, discreet and helpful. We stayed there for 3 days for our honeymoon. The roundhouse is just a 10 minutes tuktuk drive away from Ahangama, which is very convenient for a dinner in town or a coffee by the beach.

It’s hard to find anything negative to say about this hotel. One thing that comes to mind is that it would be super useful to have a water boiler to be able to make some tea in the room (or coffee)

Absolutely stunning property, with amazing views over the cinnamon and green forests. Rooms are able to be fully opened nature. Delicious food and staff were ao lovely and accomodating, wish we could have stayed longer!

This is a very special place. I don’t think the photos would ever do it justice. There’s a sense of serenity and calm that takes over you as soon as you arrive. The architecture is a work of art, everything from the decor to the landscape design to the gorgeous art collection, is absolutely perfect. It feels like you’re in a remote wellness retreat, but in reality you’re only 10-15 min from the beach and the Main Street with lots of cafes and stores. The food, cooked fresh daily on demand with fresh ingredients, was exquisite. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were here during off season and were so lucky to be the only guests on the property, so it really felt very very special.

I don’t think there’s anything we didn’t like. One thing I would say would be really nice to have in the room is a coffee machine / kettle, a mini bar and black out blinds. But all of the amenities were available in the lobby anyways and the staff are very accommodating. Heads up, the building construction is almost entirely in wood, which means that during the rain storms, it gets loud and intense, but it’s also a huge part of the experience of being so immersed in nature. This is all nitpicking, we will definitely be back here again.
