Marley House Bed and Breakfast

The location in rural England was like an escape from the busy world, from the crowded city life. There is some wonderfull nature to explore in the vicinity, and the Tank Museum. At times it almost felt fantastic how peaceful and calm it felt, like a retreat of sorts. Highly reccomend.

The state of the estate needs some work. Paint was peeling a little from on the outside window frame. One window pane was cracked and one had the putty come off the bottom leaving a slit open to the outside. There weren't any mosquitoes and we went in the summer so it was fine. The room also didn't have air conditioning, luckily it wasn't too warm. Yet.

Marley house was generous in every aspect. Huge rooms, beds, duvets, breakfasts, baths. The hosts were warm and welcoming with a relaxing humour. The breakfast room was small enough to feel homely and that started the day very well. We didn’t use the hot tub which was available. The resident dog, Doris, was the star of the show. Quietly in the background, she just captured everyone’s hearts.

The only improvement I could think of was that Marley house could offer evening meals. Just because the food at breakfast was so good I’m sure any Dinner would be super. But there were plenty of local pubs and hotels nearby to eat at.

The hosts, Mark and Jan were really hospitable and friendly. The breakfasts were superb, with a huge range available from croissants and other pastries to full English. The room we had was spacious and light, and there was even a kitchenette. The enormous bed was really comfortable and luxurious; we slept very well indeed. It was great that our dog was welcome too—even in the breakfast room.

What an absolute gem of a find, beautiful house, exceptional suiet, comfortable bed. The bath was huge, i didnt want to get out. Perfect location for Swanage, Poole and Corfe Castle. Breakfast was outstanding. Jan and Mark where the perfect hosts. I can not wait to go and stay again

Die Lage war sehr praktisch. Jan und Mark sind einfach super herzliche Menschen und man hat sich wie unter Freunden gefühlt. Dazu ein wirklich tolles Frühstück.
