Villa La Pagaia Sorrento Coast

The property is in a quiet area, the view is nice and the rooms are clean. The breakfast was good, the guest can choose what they want from a small menu and it's prepared on spot by a nice lady. Includes eggs - rarity in Italy.

Our room had the bathroom outside of the room - was not shared, but we realized this after asking other guest from the same floor if they have a bathroom or if they use the same one :) wasn't pleasent at all to go out from the room to reach the bathroom.

Views from the villa itself are wonderful and the breakfast is a nice bonus (although the breakfast experience itself isn’t the best in terms of food optionality). The room was in a clean state when we arrived and in fairness we can’t in good faith review the housekeeping service as we preferred to not have our room cleaned during our 3 night stay (as we liked our organized chaos to be how it is 😂).

The property is not easy at all to get into by car nor by walking. By car you have to drive through a very narrow alleyway filled with parked cars making your entrance very awkward - then there is the big issue of the gate. My Lord, the gate. You physically need to step out of your car and insert the key and wait for the gate to slowly open and then you drive into an upwards ramp with the 4 most awkward parking spots I’ve seen in my life. The entry and exit was a serious undertaking that I dreaded the prospect of everyday. On top of all of this - whilst the two ladies at the property were very kind and pleasant to deal with — there was absolutely no flexibility from Tony (the gentleman hosting us) to enable us to check out at 11 am instead of 10:30 am as we had a fairly late train from Napoli to Firenze [which meant that we did not need to leave so early] and he insisted on 10:30 am check out which made us anxious. He also did not have any flexibility at all on allowing us access to the kitchen in the evenings if I wanted to heat up anything even if it was quick (as there was no microwave in the room, only small fridge). Also, the CURTAINS HAD ZERO BLACKOUT which made the sun’s daylight blaze through them like there was no curtain whatsoever. The bed itself was so so narrow and small in terms of width that it could only sleep 1 person comfortably but for two it would be a squeeze. We also noticed that the base of the bed was made of plastic/acrylic which made us thankful for not being overweight people as that might have tipped the bed’s load over the edge and possibly would have broken the bed!!

Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig und zurück gesetzt von der viel befahrenen Straße in Richtung Sorrent. Strecke zu Bahn und Bus fussläufig. Die Ausstattung ist modern. Das Frühstück wird individuell zubereitet und die Dame war super flott und höflich.

Der Parkplatz ist mit dem Auto eine Herausforderung, mit Kleinwagen aber machbar. Unser Zimmer hatte einen Balkon zum Teilen mit den Nachbarn. Die Trennwände waren jedoch kaputt und der Tisch verrostet. Der versprochene Meerblick war maximal vom Ende des Balkons zu erreichen, entspricht also nicht der bei Booking hinterlegten Beschreibung. Kleinere Reparaturen sollten dringend gemacht werden. Abdeckungen sind locker oder fehlen. Defekte Möbel etc. Im Gemeinschaftsraum sollte vielleicht noch ein Glas mehr zu Verwendung stehen. WLAN funktionierte sehr schlecht.

Carina come struttura e gestita bene da chi ci lavora, buon potenziale per migliorarne alcuni aspetti in futuro.

Il bagno non in camera da letto, scomodo e andrebbe segnalato e fatto comprendere bene a chi sceglie questa struttura.
