Very nice apartment and area. If the focus is on cross-country skiing, this is perfect. If you want to go downhill skiing, there is a fairly long transport distance to the slopes. You can ski on a long and flat transport slope both to and from the slopes. Something to be aware of is that the lift that takes you to the transport slope is not running during evening skiing.

The number of things I liked about this place supersedes the numbers of places that I didn't like. Mosetertoppen Skistadion is a beautiful complex of condo apartment buildings with restaurant, grocery store, sportswear store. It stand on amazing location a bit lower level but not too far from Hafjeltoppen (highest top of the ski base). It is a relatively new place and building smells with new and fresh smell of wood as apartments internally have wood covers (like a wooden cabin style). Each apartment has beautiful facilities such as kitchen, living room area, bedroom so cozy and very spacious bathroom with the shower. Hosts provided pretty much everything, all the way to cooking utensils, dishes, cleaning stuff which made it easy to live like in your own apartment but on the top of the mountain. Another, not less beautiful side was the view from the windows, especially if your window opens to the backside of the building. The view opens to the skiing lane and forests behind the lane followed with beautiful village of lovely cabins. I saw it during sunny weather, cloudy weather and snow storming weather and each of these times the view was gorgeous on its own way. Outside of the apartment, there is a restaurant in the main building, also very spacious and hosts are very lovely and attentive to clients. Fully window walls allow to enjoy the full view from outside, while enjoying the meal. Grocery store is right near the restaurant in the same building and bigger than many grocery stores I saw in Bergen and Oslo. Hafjellbussen is a convenient transport to move around, if you have relaxed schedule. Also, you can ski down to another spot - Favn that opens up to lifts taking to Hafjeltoppen or any other route you choose to ski from there.

The main challenge as a solo traveler without a car, for me was a transportation. Eventhough Hafjelbussen is available and relatively cheap, its schedule is very inconvenient as it visits one stop only 4 times a day which often did not match my schedule. To make experience full and enjoyable, it is better to have your own car to move around and carry around your gear in a comfort as well as to leave the resort any time you want. Taxi service was not surprisingly expensive, I ended up paying $115 for a 30 min drive from the Mosetertoppen Skistadion to Lillehammer station.

Good location. Clean, well equipped, spacious apartment. Very helpful staff. Parking easy. Storage in parking garage convenient.

Living room a bit dark. Signage in parking garage could be clearer.
