Cambridge Apartment at St Neot

Great place I have stayed here about 4 times now wouldn't go back if it wasn't any good

Clean and comfortable - hot water and heating all worked fine. Spare bedding available. Cooking utensils also all available. Host was always easy to contact and was helpful with information about the local area.

The property had falsly advertised as having 4 beds. It said there was a queen and twin bed in bedroom 1, a twin bed in bedroom 2 and a sofa bed but on arrival bedroom 1 had a double bed, bedroom 2 a single bed and there was a sofa bed. I booked this for 4 colleagues who needed a bed each. The owner said there was nothing he can do and offered no help or compensation at all and sent quite aggressive unhelpful messages. He then refused to get liaise with booking.com so they wouod not help either as their policy is they have to give the owner 48 hours to get back to them even though the booking was for that night.

What we need we got everything there.

Main room heating was not working properly.

Nice quiet location, big smart TV and pleasant living room, spacious.

There were 4 of us and only 3 towels, no hand towels and the only tea towel smelt off and needed a wash. I messaged about this on check in but I was told "that's all" no other explanation. I had to wash some of the kitchen stuff before we could use it. Also, we had to find the bedding for the 4th person.

location was ideal for us and very quiet had all the basics and sitting area was comfortable

unfortunately there was a smell of what we think was cannabis being smoked either downstairs or adjoining which permeated into the flat - not dire though better if it had not been there otherwise i think a couple of larger mugs and glasses would have been useful
