Hotel El Mexicano Tepic Centro

It is an old hotel, but was recently renovated & refurbished. Same as booking.com photos & even better., everything is new : New paint, bed sheets, mattress, towels, chair, TV, fan, shower curtain, window curtains. It’s indeed squeaky clean, very nice and fresh. My room got 1 window and a tiny balcony facing the street, so is very breezy with fresh air & lots of sunlight. The location is super central. What is lacking is some place to put stuff & clothes. But they have 2 beds so I can just put things on the smaller bed. The reception people, cleaner & probably a mechánic, are all very nice. This hotel definitely deserves a “10” although there are few small issues.

There is bad drain smell somerimes, even with the cover. No socket near the bed. Opposite the street is a dance school, so is somewhat noisy.
