Two Bedroom Apartment Within Walking Distance to City Centre

Fantastic location, beautifully decorated, plenty of room for 4 adults

Shower was a bit weak. Noise from outside was a little noisy but didn’t affect our trip

The entrance hall to the several appartments was very dirty.

I would like to thank property management team for accommodating an early check in, unfortunately this is the only positive feedback I can provide.

Upon entering the property, we were greeted with an unwelcoming and extremely dirty stairwell (broken suitcases, paper, broken chair, rubbish, dust, litter and dirt to name but a few). We proceeded to the first floor where the entrance to apartment 2 surprisingly proved to be even worse than the stairwell. Carpet had not been cleaned or maintained and the smell was nauseating. We remained hopeful that the apartment itself would live up to the standards of the advertised listing and were reflective of the price paid. We were bitterly disappointed to conclude that this was not the case. Please see below a list of issues; 1. The kitchen was unsanitary. The cutlery drawers were unclean and full of filth and crumbs. It was apparent that the apartment had not been cleaned as the fridge contained a carton of milk out of date from 14th November. Our arrival date was 17th November. Furthermore the cups were stained and clearly unwashed. Overall the kitchen required a deep clean and we were unable to use these facilities for meals as planned. 2. The bathroom door did not close and barley locked. I would advise using the shower with caution as it was unsafe and the temperature fluctuated. An anti sleep bath mat was also not provided and added an extra element of risk. Towels were not fit for purpose and the the property only provided enough for one night (our stay was for two nights) In addition, the metal fittings in the bathroom were full of rust and again the bathroom required an overall deep clean. There was also not an adequate amount of toilet paper provided for the stay and we had to purchase these basic amenities. 3. Heater in the hall did not work and we struggled to maintain heat within the apartment as a whole. The property is poorly insulated and the windows need sealed and cleaned. 4. Bedrooms were not at as advertised or in a rentable condition. The mattresses were entirely unfit for purpose as were the duvets and pillows.

A short walk to the inner city. Availability to tesco and other food.

Apartment had a washing machine, which was one of our reasons for staying there. The dryer did not work so we needed to crank up he heating and hang our clothes over the sitting room. This made the room too hot for comfortable seating and needed to open the windows. Being near the university there were lots of young inconsiderate people walking and talking loudly in the middle of the night so the open windows let in extra noise The heater in the hallway did not work nor did the towel rail.

Location and size

The second double bed is small and the linen is poor - synthetic pillows and duvets are not good enough I don't think. No door hooks in the bedrooms and the smaller bedroom has no mirror at all and not enough hangers. The cutlery could be improved and a bit more of it. Only 3 chairs round the dining table not four. The site implied parking was included but it isn't - you have to park in a car park nearby at £20 per day.

Good location

Lack of cuttlery and the smaller bedroom is just too small for a double bed. There isn't even a bedside table or lamp. The bedroom door is hard to open because the door hasn't been trimmed to clear the carpet and the freezer section of the refrigerator is clogged with ice stopping the freezer section door closing. On a serious note the electrical supplies to the hob and oven aren't marked so it's easy to think you have turned off the oven supply but it's just the hob. In truth this is all pretty much standard across all the apartments I have paid over £1000 for three nights for over the last 10 yrs and I don't expect any of the issues raised to be fixed.

Location perfect. We took a taxi from the airport and didn't use public transport but cafes, bars, shops and plenty to do within walking distance. A breakfast cafe across the street called Picnic Basket that would highly recommend.

There were no instructions left on how to work the shower which would be useful - switch is on the outside of the bathroom. An extension cable in the bedrooms and living area would be good as wall plugs hard to reach.

Breakfast was irrelevant. Location was excellent.

The lounge and bedroom floors were not clean, the beds / mattresses need replacing badly. Very uncomfortable, not up to being rented out at the premium price we paid. We understand the festival was on but this place needs attention if you are going to charge premium prices.
