We had a fantastic stay at the lodge recently with our collie and cavalier too. We stayed for two nights and could have happily stayed for one week, even longer!
The Vogue Lodge is well signposted and also the hot tub, views and surrounds are absolutely amazing, especially if you are lucky with the weather like we were!
The animals surrounding the lodge were lovely! Lucas even let us feed them which made our stay even more magical! So if you're animal lovers and you're visiting, feel free to bring apples, pears and carrots to feed the donkeys, alpacas, ponies and goats, and you can even bring some seed for all the ducks, birds, geese, hens and Australian swan - it truly is so magical!
It's great for your fury friends to come along too. If your dog isn't friendly with livestock etc, don't worry as there is secure fencing all around the big decking areas with a secure gate.
Our lodge was very well equipped with everything from tin foil, cooking oil, pots, pans, plates, cutlery, salt, pepper, tea bags, coffee, sauce, to a box which said "for our furry friends" - and contained a spare dog lead, dog bowls, poo bags, dog treats, tennis ball, and dog towel, which were very thoughtful!
There was even a basket in the bathroom containing paracetamol, a face mask, face wipes, cotton wool pads, makeup towels - and in the utility cupboard in the hallway, there were spare towelling dressing gowns, flip flops and towels for the hot tub towels, separate to our bath towels, that were also provided!
We've had a lot of dog-friendly staycations over the years in all different areas of England, Wales, and Scotland, however nowhere has ever thought of so many useful, usable and thoughtful things as Lucas has here with the Vogue lodge!
For ladies reading this (men too!) there is also a great hair dryer with nozzle in one of the bedroom cabinets.
