Ilasan cottage.

This is so far and by far the best accomodation we have had in our one-month trip in Indonesia. The location is beautiful, the premises hyper clean, spacious and comfy, everything taken care of to the smallest detail, the wide choice of breakfast was gorgeous... And Jan, our host...there are no words to describe his helpfulness, amicability, and readiness to make our stay unforgettable. He gave us lots of practical information on the area and activities and made our stay very easy and enjoyable by organising all the activities we did (rafting, volcano trekking, local day trip, national park visit and transfers to and from the airport) for a very reasonable price. Jan is the epitome of a super host. If we ever come back to Sulawesi, no doubt we'll stay at Ilasan Cottage again.

We stayed four nights in one of the two beautiful bungalows in the lovely garden of Jan‘s family home. Great hosts, clean and comfortable bungalows (western standard, most comfortable bed we have had in months!), delicious breakfast, Lokon volcano view, and fury friends (only outside the buildings) make this a perfect place to stay in Tomohon. Jan is happy to help you plan your trips / excursions and also drive you to sites, or you can rent a scooter from him.

Beautiful bungalow located in the nice garden with lots of colorful plants, super clean, hot shower and every day a new piece of chocolate on the pillow! Jan, the host, is super friendly and helpful. We could rent a scooter from him directly and he had lots of useful tips for things to visit in the area! The breakfast was delicious (especially the local one) and we also did some laundry for a good price.

The property is immaculate and everything feels brand new. The gardens are a delight. Jan made us a super meal on our 1st night - delicious 😋 We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes a ‘home from home’ feel - being a little way out of town was ideal for us as the town itself is very noisy. Jan went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time, booked us a white water rafting trip (it’s a must!), all the little touches were most welcome - 2 nights was not long enough xx
