Unique apartment in the center

This is a lovely old apartment with high ceilings. The rooms are large, and the location is perfect. The host is very friendly. The beds are very comfortable and there's a lovely big dining room which is perfect when taking your time having breakfast.

The kitchen is tiny, there's no area to prepare food, or to drain washed dishes. Luckily we didn't cook, but I can't imagine how we would do that if we were to cook a meal for 4. There's lack of cutlery, crockery. Some of the cupboards contain personal belongings - some of the cupboards, especially in the kitchen are a bit of a mess. There was a document which was left on the side that was personal, and 2 rails full of washing, which made you feel you were staying at someone's house, rather than rented accommodation. The lighting was poor, you had to have all the lights on, even then it was dim. There were no recycling facilities/bins it felt wrong putting everything in the same bin. There was food and an empty packaging left in the draws in the kitchen, again felt like someone's house. It's ok to use some leftover sugar/oil etc. but this was a bit too much, as if someone was actually living there. There was no free standing shower/shower head, only a hand shower to be used in the bath. There was a strong smell of perfume (plug ins) which made an overbearing smell as you walked in, this is unnecessary. Some of the instructions had to be requested in terms of where to leave the key upon exit, etc. but it wasn't a huge issue as the host was lovely. The road is a little noisy but it is to be expected since you're in the capital.

Nice spacious apartment. Comfortable beds. Very nice owner. Some street noise noticed. 10-15min walk to center.
