The BIGGIES Inn

Larry the host could not have done more for us. He organised the tour to the whale sharks with us but also brought us down, waited with us and minded our things while we were in the water. He helped us onto the bus and gave us all the information we needed about getting from one place to another on the island. He also helped us organise a bike rental. We did not stay in the room we booked, we were moved to a better one! The rooms are clean and aircon works great. The shower provides hot water. Yeh terrace area outside is cute. There is nice views from the top floor and window. Spacious bathroom. Free parking for your bike. Close to a lovely bakery for breakfast and not far from a few good restaurants for dinner & lunch.

The room is a bit small but we only stayed two nights so no problem really. The traffic from the road can really easily be heard at any time of the day. Large trucks go by in the middle of the night.

It was a very comfortable stay. Around 700m away from Whale Shark Watching site. We walked to get there. We like the room we stayed, it was good for the price we paid.

The room was nothing like the photos (maybe take ten years ago). The staff were incredibly unhelpful, laughing at a request to borrow a phone to call a booking company, and when it came to leave we asked if they were able to call a taxi or help get a taxi, they then got their friend over who was trying to charge us an extortionate amount for a 20 minute drive (more than the taxi from Moalbol which was a 3 hour drive) and when we asked for a reasonable price they then laughed and told us to walk.

The hotel didnt confirm our reservation as the facilities were fully booked. Poor communication between booking.com and the hotel.

Close to whaleshark diving.

No good communication. No toiletseat, no window in the bathroom, noisy street in front of the room.
