Casa De Sossego

Host Christine lives next door to the property and was waiting for us on arrival, a very nice lady. The house has a pretty well equipped kitchen that leads on to a living room with sofa and chairs. It was a bit chilly in the evenings and although there is an open fire we weren’t allowed to use it which was a shame as it would have made such a difference. There was an electric heater which did help. No TV, music system or radio unfortunately. There is a double bedroom downstairs that is en-suite, rustic but fine. Upstairs there are 3 single beds but you have to use a downstairs bathroom and the staircase is a little precarious, especially for children.

Couldn’t use the fireplace. No TV or radio. Although the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were clean some things really needed a good clean/dust, and the upstairs windows were incredibly dirty but Christine did say she was aware and would be done in the next few days.

It was absolutely perfect for our one night stay. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. We really loved the bag of complimentary firewood and got a few bags more plus firelighters from the Spar as the fireplace in the lounge helped to warm up the place. (It was a chilly evening) Christine, the host, was really lovely. She was just a What’s App message away if we needed anything. She followed up on our arrival time and was there to let us in and hand over keys. We also loved that the parking for the car was undercover and tucked away behind the accommodation. A beautiful little garden area too.

Everything was good for us.

It was extremely clean .

The location is central to most tourist attractions. It's close to the grocery store. The area is quiet, no noise disturbances, and safety is guaranteed. The host was very responsive, and available to assist. We got chocolates and fruits on our arrival. There were enough bins available for our disposals.

There wasn't a TV as advertised. We were informed on our arrival that it got struck by lightening the previous week before our stay. The couch and beds weren't comfortable.

Close to many places of interest to visit around Graskop.

The property is close to places we wanted to visit in Graskop Graskop Gorge is within a kilometre, Berlin falls and Forest Walk. You have the whole apartment to yourself no one bothers you. We had our breakfast on the big patio table..

They must add more utensils in the Kitchen. Pitcher, salad bowls, more pots..
