It's not a dislike as it was lovely but it would have been good to have an instruction/ advice booklet in English especially for the recycling!
GBThe house has been beautifully restored to a very comfortable and attractive home. The outside areas are thoughtfully designed with mature plants, especially around the swimming pool. We appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms. Marie was very attentive and replied quickly when contacted. We accidentally turned off the main air conditioning switch on Sunday afternoon and she popped straight round to help us! Vitorchiano is a quiet, understated, ancient village. We walked from the villa to Vitorchiano most evenings for dinner. We can recommend Mactra which has a beautiful garden overlooking the village. Staff and food were lovely! After dinner we wandered in to get a gelato. Places we visited - Bolsena, Viterbo and Vitorchiano - and then spent the afternoons by the pool. We didn't need anything else.
GBFantastic place for a relaxing break. Farmhouse dating back to 1850 but beautifully refurbished/decorated to give some luxury, while retaining the rustic charm. Substantial grounds with decent sized swimming pool - complete privacy to relax. 15/20 minute walk to town with medieval old town and some restaurants. Host recommended and booked us a table at local family restaurant where we had a superb meal, reasonably priced. Supermarket 4 mins drive.
