Best hostel ever Nice vibe and loved snorkeling and all the food from the restaurant

The best experience ever! Rangan is without a doubt the best host we have ever met. He is incredibly welcoming, kind, and treats you like part of his family. Staying here is truly a must if you are visiting Sri Lanka – it’s not just a place to stay, it’s an experience you will never forget. On top of that, Rangan is one of the best chefs we’ve ever come across. Honestly, his food is even better than some Michelin-star restaurants – every single meal was a highlight of our trip. The surroundings are beautiful, the vibe is super relaxed, and the place itself is cozy and fun to hang out at. This was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had, and we can’t recommend it enough. Always good karma

De Accomodatie zit in een leuke straat vol met restaurantjes en loopafstand van het strand.

Op basis van alle beoordelingen viel het bij ons tegen. De kamer was vervallen en niet erg schoon. Daarnaast werdt het er enorm warm ondanks de ventilator. Het bed was enorm hard en je voelde de latten liggen. Goed om te weten is dat er alleen koud water is.

Rangan ist ein netter Gastgeber und versucht dir einen schöne Zeit zu ermöglichen

Das Bett war leider nicht so bequem

Of all the 120 hostels I’ve stayed in, I have never felt as welcome as at The White House. Ranga and his nephews are the kindest people, and it truly feels like a second home. I stayed for a week but wish I could have stayed longer. The snorkeling trips that can be booked through Ranga are absolutely stunning, and all week I saw people returning from the tours full of excitement. I stayed in the dorm, and because Ranga treats his guests with so much warmth, it also creates a wonderful atmosphere among roommates—it really feels like a second home. All the food is delicious, and the garden is super cozy as well. I will definitely come back ❤️❤️ I wish I could rate 11

The fact I had to leave 😁

Lage war top, man war schnell am Strand und bei vielen Restaurants. Der Besitzer war sehr nett und man kann über ihn auch eine Tour zur Pigeon Island buchen, was wir sehr empfehlen können. Es ist ein fairer Preis und er nimmt sich viel Zeit, dass jede*r eine schöne Erfahrung hat und vlt sogar ein bisschen was über die Fische und Korallen lernt. Morgens gab es ein Gratis Tee/Kaffee und das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Rangan hat einen Abend extra für uns Kottu gemacht, was auch sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Draußen konnte man gut verweilen. Im Dorm gab es ein Schließfach und die Betten waren bequem. Generell war der Dorm und das Bad Recht einfach gehalten, aber vollkommen ausreichend. Außerdem gibt es eine niedliche Babykatze, die einen immer mal besucht ;)

Deas Betttuch war ein bisschen zu kurz, wodurch grosse Personen mit den Füßen auf der Matratze liegen. Wir haben im Dorm geschlafen und uns somit ein Badezimmer mit mehreren Menschen geteilt, was erstmal kein Problem ist, aber durch die offene Dusche und das Bidet ist der Boden halt immer etwas nass.
