House Bok Bowie

A slice of paradise. This apartment is located on M’pai bay which is a lovely area with a variety of delicious restaurants, bars, and a the best beach we have ever been on. This apartment is spacious, comfortable and everything you need for a relaxing stay. The owner Sharon has been the most helpful host we’ve come across during our travels helping us with information about ferrys, where to eat and what to do. She has made our stay so amazing. Couldn’t recommend this apartment enough. There’s also the most amazing sunset across the road in the bok bowie bar.

Beautiful house and garden and very helpful, friendly hosts. The house is a few minutes walk to the main drag and beaches and opposite are some great spots for eating, drinking and fabulous sunsets. All the rooms are very spacious with floor to ceiling double glazed doors, windows and most importantly blackout curtains and blinds to keep the heat out, but the house is well positioned and has lots of shade planting, so full sun into the rooms is limited. There is very good air con in the bedroom and the house stays cool for a decent number of hours after turning off the air con. There is also a large floor fan, a small fridge and a water filtration system. The outdoor area is totally private and features a lovely seating area, which has built in L-shaped seats making it very easy to either sit or lounge surrounded by nature, as well as an outdoor fan, which provides a veery welcome breeze. We felt very lucky to find such a gem on the island.

We loved the peaceful location and the spaciousness of the villa. The hosts were super friendly and very easy to talk to.

Some mosquitos were getting in through the extractor fan in the bathroom (we suspect), so putting a bit of net over that would be a great idea! Also, a little tub outside to wash feet so we don't bring so much sand through the house would be awesome too! We felt bad about that 😅

A great place in a great location. Roomy and quiet, yet only a 2-minute walk to anywhere you need to be in Sanloem. The hosts are super and always at hand to provide all necessary info for arriving/departing the island and great tips for food/drinks at other establishments. They also own the beautiful bar across the way from the house (Bar Bok Bowie), probably the best place to see the sunset in chill mode (3 amazing viewing/relaxing terraces). Have a bite there, a drink, and enjoy nature at its best.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay for couples! Quite possibly the best house rental and undoubtedly the best value you will find on quaint M’Pay Bay which … by the way … is absolutely the best area to stay in … on either Koh Rong Sanloem or Koh Rong! Bok Bowie is a big, beautiful, super bright (it’s almost all sliding doors and windows!) modern and very clean house and property … you’re basically renting a good sized one bedroom single floor open space house with all the amenities including kitchen with fridge. It’s wonderful to stay in such a liberating space at such a great price compared to any high end and expensive resort room which might provide 1/3 the space and hence does feel cramped by comparison. Highlights of staying in Bok Bowie for us were … the size of the house, it’s brightness, it’s large bedroom with excellent mattress, AC and fan and ensuite bathroom with excellent shower, the wonderful outdoor seating area with outdoor fan and excellent lighting. All of this said, absolutely must reiterate that M’Pai is THE BEST DESTINATION ON EITHER KOH RONG SANLOEM or KOH RONG. It is so quaint with a great vibe and features soooo many great little eateries that provide amazing food so cheap compared again with other locations on the two sister isles. Last but not least … Sharon and Jon are amazing hosts who respond right away to any and all inquiries and will give you the inside scoop on where to eat and all things going on in M’Pai Bay. Bok Bowie … book it if you can. It’s a hidden gem but you need to plan well ahead or someone else will scoop it up before you!

This place was absolutely lovely - well-designed, cozy and spacious house, perfectly located (especially if you love having the best spot for snorkeling right at your "door") and great even for pets! Sharon is a great host, too - just a message away for anything one might need help with! :)
