Little Bay View

Everything was wonderful! Location, comfort, little touches like a welcome scotch, breakfast supplies, and great recommendations for meals and things to do that suited us perfectly.

The elevator was broken but for us that was only a bit of an inconvenience when getting our luggage downstairs when we left. We had no mobility issues so going up and down the stairs was not and issue for us when coming and going.Upon arrival, James met us and personally carried our bags up all those stairs to the apartment! He has our deepest gratitude as we had just finished walking the Great Glen Way!

Lovely apartment. Very well equipped, comfortable and best location possible in Oban. Convenient reserved , secure parking. Host provided basic food requirements together with a wide range of luxuries. Good range of tourist information. Very clean , well kept and comfortable.

The massive problem for me was that the lift was not working for our entire stay. This meant that I had to climb or descend 7 flights of stairs as the apartment is on the third floor and I have restricted mobility (arthritis in knees, ankle and feet) which makes climbing and descending stairs painful and difficult and takes me a long time. We booked this flat for two reasons: parking space and the description as fully accessible. Fortunately James came when we arrived and departed and helped with the bulk of or luggage but did not warn us of the lift failure before we arrived. Had I been less mobile or worse still a wheelchair user we would not have been able to access the flat at all. This problem meant that I basically only went out once a day as more than that would have been too difficult- so, overall an excellent flat in an ideal location totally ruined by the lift failure for our entire stay. To say we were disappointed does not sum up our overall feelings.

James was very helpful and assisted us with arrival instructions by using a back road to Oban and thus passing a blockage due to a serious accident. The unit was very well equipped with everything we needed and James generously provided extras in the house that we didn’t expect. He also provided us with a helpful briefing of options for dining out and places to go. We really enjoyed the walk over at Kerrara island —a good recommendation! The unit is large with lots of space and is in a very secure and well presented building.

Brilliant location, we stayed for a week and loved watching the changing views of Oban and the harbour as the weather and the light changed daily and throughout the week. It’s a spacious apartment, well planned and very well stocked. Certainly our most generous starter pack ever. Well situated for the ferries to local islands and for exploring the town. We would happily have stayed on and on. Nearby parking, easy access to the quiet building, and the lift made it so easy.

Host was extremely accommodating. He even met us with whisky! Location was excellent. Comfortable accommodations

We had difficulty finding the apartment - no address was provided, just the name of the building which could not be seen while driving around.

Clean, cozy, and attractive apartment close to ferry and train station. Host was responsive and very nice. There was a generous amount of good snacks and a well equipped kitchen if you wanted to have an extended stay. There was a lift so it made it easy access to the 3rd floor.

The only thing I felt was is in need of fixing was l the hallway light to get to the room. It is very dark in the hall and the motion detector only worked if I went a little past the room.

Great location, view. Close to all restaurants and ferries. Our favorite restaurant was Chan Mor good prices and varied menu. Lift and parking.

Has a wet bathroom, not a fan but works. Small dorm sized refrigerator, without freezer.
