BARI VICA ROOMS

Clean, modern, comfortable rooms.

There was a faint but unpleasant smell in the room.

The room was great, it’s really clean, well-equipped and in awesome location. Contact with the host - exceptional. Free parking on the street, easy to find a free spot.

We missed just a few kitchen accessories, such as a knife, plate or bottle opener. Other than that the apartment had all we needed for a 5-night stay.

Check-in was totally unmanned, but very easy. Instructions were clear and complete. The room was spotlessly clean and all was brand new. The place was quiet. Wi-Fi was reasonably fast though not lightning fast (about 20 Mbit/s DL), but enough to do anything you would need. Air-con was efficient and makes the stay pleasant. Bari is not easy city for the temperatures! Bathroom: size was what you need, no space wasted, but not at all cramped. Shower was very good and ample. People involved in the management of the place very nice and friendly. Location: very near to the station (on the other side respect to the city centre) in a safe area. 10 minutes walk to the station, 20 to the old city. It was very convenient for me.

Very small things, easy to improve. e.g. there is no place to hang the toilet paper when you need. You can use the bidet as a holder, but it is not optimal. It is not optimal, but neither is a big problem. I wrote about this to show the very small dimension of the "problems". Having to pay by cash in the provided box the city tax created some problems to me and to the owner of the place. I had no small banknotes, since we are all using now credit cards 24/7. Problem was easily solved with the help of the owner. Probably a better arrangement can be found. In the mean time: bring with you some coins or banknotes. ;-)

Very nice hosting. 👍 The position of the accommodation is very good, in an art deco building. We enjoyed walking around in the neighborhood. There are many parks around and cafes with delicious coffee and food. We also explored the campus of the Bari Aldo Moro University. We enjoyed buying snacks and water from the Coop supermarket which is very close. Very close is Lievita Pizza Restaurant. The pizza and sandwiches are very tasty. In Bari's old city center, we visited the Saint Nicola church, Archeologico museum, and Pinacoteca. We went by bus to San Francisco Beach. The best option was to walk and take bus no. 27. We enjoyed the time spent on the beach with sand. We had the opportunity to walk to the Bari Centrale 🚈. We went to Polignano a Mare by train. It is a nice place to visit for half a day. Here are no sand beaches. The biggest benefit of staying at Bari Vica Rooms was that we could enjoy non-turtistical restaurants and cafes. For example, we would like to recommend Rock Bombette restaurant which is pretty close. We had a big room and it was very clean, big enough, with a tall ceiling. Hot water worked and also the air conditioner. Vittorio and Carmen are nice and helpful. Thank you very much! ☀

It’s very pleasant room with everything you need. It even has a hair dryer with diffuser, which is a big plus for the ladies. It’s on walking distance from the train and bus station. Also close by there is a cafe with some bakery for breakfast that opens early in the morning.
