George House

I have been around the world quite a lot, but this place is easily among the best of the best. I have never met a host so friendly before. I did not feel like a tourist, it felt like I am visiting an old friend. The place is perfectly equipped with everything one can think of, and more. It is a gem.

I’ve traveled a lot and I have to say that staying at Stavros and George house was such a wonderful surprise. It was like to stay at our own house: fully equipped kitchen; wine; fruits and even coffe. There kept telling us that if we need something was enough to text or going down to their supermarket. Such a friendly welcome and a beautiful family they are. In case of doubt, just book. Thank you again for your hospitality.

Great! Everything was great! The position is perfect, if you rent a car. The family host is amazing, they were very helpful. It felt as home. The apartment has everything you need.

Everything was perfect! It was a big house with many amenities. The owner was very friendly and very informative!! He gave me options for tsampika beach, agathi beach and Lindos which is only 20 minutes away! I will definitely come back, I felt like I knew this family for years… Thank you George !!!

We enjoyed this spacious and comfortable apartment in a central, non-touristic village. Some fruit, a snack and drink on the table gave us a truly welcome feeling and that only increased after we met the owner and his mother. The kitchen was well-equipped with a large fridge and freezer, oven, pans, small grill to make toast, water kettle, a kind of Nespresso cups machine and small pan for Greek coffee. There was dish soap, toilet paper and even baby shampoo. The walk-in shower is good and you can use towels (we brought beach towels ourselves). There was free wifi and television (with Netflix, but ask how to set subtitles to English). You can use air conditioning, but maybe better to use the shutters and curtains to block the sun at certain hours of the day. There's a washing machine and drying rack.The apt is on the first floor and you reach it by stairs. The apartment itself is all on one floor and one bedroom has a double bed and the other one two single beds, plus a baby camping bed (until max 3 yo) and children's chair. There's a large balcony with chairs. You can go on the roof and have a good view of the village, mountains and old fortress. On the day of arrival we got information how to receive the key (that only locks the front door to enter the stairs and not the door to the apartment itself, but you're the only person entering there). We recommend it for stay with a family or 2-4 adults. You stay above the shop of the owner that has fresh bread Mon-Sat. In the village we appreciated the local feel and facilities like shops for groceries, bakery/patisserie and places to eat or drink out. Many nice (half) day trips are within reach, like Lindos, Agathi beach next to Charaki and its fortress, the Tsambika monastery (view) and beach, Seven Springs, nice villages inland, and Rhodos city.

The beds were okay, but for people taller than 180 or 190 cm the sheets were not that long, but not a real problem. Outside of the building one may be a bit hesitant of the first impression - we arrived in the dark through small streets and next door there was a container for the trash - but once inside it really felt like a comfortable home and we appreciated the stay between regular people (in a safe neighbourhood) rather than mostly other tourists.
