Excellent freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of choice

The breakfast and evening meals we had, were excellent. There was also a lively bar and the staff couldn’t do enough.

Lovely room and nice staff; they even messaged us when we hadn’t checked in yet at around 8.30pm to ask us if we‘d like to eat something still as they‘d serve food until 9. We then still got a delicious dessert at 9.20. Breakfast was also very good, although it did take a long time to get it (40 min even though it was only us 4 and 2 other people still waiting for it).

Our room was directly above the pub and there was a birthday party of one of their regulars. In the welcome info on the room it did say that generally the pub was open until 10pm, on weekends a bit longer, and until 11pm if there was an event, but that they‘d keep the volume down after that. Unfortunately, it went on until at least 12.30am, and it was very loud in our room (not only loud talking, but also singing etc.). Whilst we understand that parties or events take place, jt was indeed very loud, and that room should not be used when such events/parties are going ahead. We informed the staff in the morning about it and they gave us a bit of a discount by way of apology.

Very spacious room, comfortable bed, great breakfast. Wonderful food in restaurant, good value and choice. Good beers.

Couldn't see the steam trains through the trees!

The room is clean and beds are comfy. Food is extremely good which is unexpected. We sat outdoor for dinner and breakfast with a stunning view which provides a very relax vibe. Staffs are very nice. it is a best choice of the intermediate point of the Wales trip.

The only one thing is one of the window in the room can't be closed completely. Which allow noise from the road comes inside and bother sleeping the the early morning.

Lovely place, lovely food, lovely staff. Will return….

Lovely room with a view. Perfect location for a stopover after trip to Ireland.
