HTR TX Hill Country Campground

This was amazing. It was a pretty tiny house that can accommodate up to 6 people. It was super cosy and in a very pretty place. The house was super clean and everything was quiet. Super easy to check-in and out.

We ran out of hot water one morning!

Cabin was clean, property was gorgeous and the staff was helpful

The fridge was a little wonky and the bed was kind of crammed into the room. Also the hot water ran out in the shower after 10 or so mins

The location was great. It was quiet, close to the lake. I would have liked to walk the trails, but there was a lot of rain over the weekend. I loved sitting on the porch and reading to get some fresh air. I loved that there were activities for the families in the rec room. However, my schedule did not allow me to attend them.

Everything I needed was in a box (in an envelope) because it was after hours. However, the envelope was not in a locked box; anyone passing by could have access to the keys (made a copy) and get on the property to enter the cabins. Yes, you needed the scan card to enter the gate with a car, but if walking, someone could still enter the property. The mattress was not comfortable at all. But for the short duration of my stay, it was not a show-stopper.

The staff was friendly and very informative. They gave us suggestions for all the activities offered at the property and everything was well maintained. The cleanest rooms we have ever stayed at. Loved the scenery and the location.

They was nothing that we didn’t like.

It was dark when I got in and I didn’t see the key lockbox at first and panicked because I didn’t see anything in the email but then found the lock box so all is well haha
