Udny Arms Hotel

Wonderfully modern hotel, retaining its traditional character. The food was excellent, cooked with expertise and even the bar meal wasn't the ordinary bar meal, but well prepared food. Staff very helpful and friendly. A great stay in a welcoming hotel.

The gentleman, probably the owner, was very present and made sure our stay was pleasant. The rooms were warm and comfortable, the restaurant served quality food and he was very kind. As a restaurant owner myself, I would definitely recommend this place. The location is excellent for a beautiful beach with seal watching.

We arrived as a family group and felt welcome as soon as we stepped through the door. Our room was spacious and spotless, with a large bathroom which was also immaculate. We ate dinner in the hotel and had a very good range of choices-excellent meal and service. This hotel is in a quiet village close to a beautiful, huge beach with a colony of seals, which make for a lovely walk after their amazing breakfast. The range of fresh food on offer was the best I've ever seen, and all hot food is cooked to order and brought to your table. Faultless.

Breakfast was fine.

The room was on the top floor and the slope of the roof made the space uncomfortable. There wasn’t space to stand on one side of the bed and head bumps were common. The hotel did not provide wash cloths. Since the room had basically half useable space, we were disappointed.
