ZAWe stayed the The Three Trees this past weekend and it was such a smooth process with collecting and dropping off the keys. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Definitely a place to consider if you looking for accommodation in Hillcrest. We attended a wedding closeby and needed somewhere comfortable to stay and get ready and I dont regret choosing The Three Trees. Bridget was always available to chat to us if we had any questions etc. A 5 star rating from me.

PLZANeeds more places for towels and jackets to hang, as the wardrobe is to small for 2 people's clothes to hang. A mirror in the room. Milk should be covered in the fridge. Its small things. But I had a lovely stay.
ZAEverything about the property was great. The host, the location, etc., were all amazing; my partner and I enjoyed our stay and will be coming back very soon ;)

The parking situation was a little tricky with a steep drive-in, but it was do-able.

ZAI booked a three night stay over the Comrades Marathon weekend (6/6/2025-9/6/2025) as I was running as I was running on the 8th. I was with my sister. Bridget sent me a video on how to access the apartment a day before my arrival and checked on us to make sure that we successfully checked in the next day. She was quick to respond to my questions, which I asked through messages. We had a special request upon arrival, and she went over and beyond to assist us without taking advantage of our situation (Thank you, Bridget😊). We met Bridget's brother Liam on arrival (what a gentleman). He assisted us with our luggage and made sure we were well settled. Although this is a self-catering accommodation, there was coffee and milk for us to use . Oh yes, and we also got our welcome chocolates. There's an outside table and chairs where we sat and enjoyed our coffee the evening we arrived on. The apartment was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and it had an electric blanket. There's a big TV that we never got to use as we spent most of the time out and came back too tired. We were also told that there's a pool at the back that we can use, but we also never used it.The shower had nice hot water. The place was also about 53kms from the Pietermaritzburg comrades marathon start, which is much closer than if we had booked in Durban, so it was very convenient and it is also near the marathon route (the 58.5km cutoff point). We had a short but wonderful stay. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back for a more relaxed stay.
