Mariners Retreat- spacious apartment in Crail

Great location for St. Andrews.

Could have provided bigger towels. Entrance hall needs some work as spot of damage through damp. A bit unsightly.

Very comfortable beds and sofas. Great showers. All furnishings and kitchen appliances were good.

Maybe a private garden is asking too much... garden seating was lovely for sitting having lunch but didn't want to disturb the neighbours too much.

The location was absolutely perfect for exploring Crail and the East Neuk of Fife. The apartment itself was beautifully appointed and much bigger than we had expected! 100% would stay again.

There were no negatives to the property at all.

The view was superb. The whole flat was beautiful and comfortable. The en suit was luxurious. The washing and drying opportunity in the utility room was very welcome.

I had difficulty with working the lock. The shower floor could be slippery; it might be safer to have a bar on the wall in the walk-in shower.

Flat was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Ideal location for exploring the East Neuk of Fife.

Location in Crail was perfect, very central. The apartment was so clean and well-equipped, we wanted for nothing. Furnishings and bedding and beds were perfect. Kitchen so well equipped- just like being at home.

There was nothing that we did not like about the apartment. Thank you. However, the payment system needs to be improved. We booked through Booking.com (frequently used by us) but when it came to payment time (a few days before entry) and an email link came through, the link to the payment screen did not work properly. We had several phone conversations with the property agents, Pittenweem Properties (Beth) who were very helpful but could not resolve the issue , suggesting this must be some IT tech issue between them and Booking.com. We ended up having to give Credit Card details verbally on the phone- not the most secure method (absolutely no suggestion of any aspersions on Pittenweem Properties). All worked out in the end- but this needs looked at.
