Owls Retreat, Meadowview House

Beautiful views. The retreat had everything you needed indoors and outdoors. Very hospital hosts, who generously let us use their lake pod for the evening.

All was great.

What a hidden gem just outside of mainland stoke. And not somewhere I knew was a thing, and I only live down the road in Longton. The hut was absolutely pristine and super clean, and probably the cosiest property I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in with my fiancée. The setting is so idyllic, located in the countryside with a wonderful pond in the grounds too. Jan and Ian are absolutely wonderful hosts, and I have to thank Ian for kindly guiding us to the area because of a crash on the A50, and again for dropping us off and picking us up from Gandhi restaurant (which I definitely recommend for a great curry) because of the flooding from the crazy weather. Our hut was even stocked with a fresh loaf of thick bread, a jar full of lotus biscuits and jams, fresh orange juice and milk. So all in all, I can easily say this is the best getaway I’ve had with the missus in this country, and it’s right at my doorstep. A deserved 10/10 review, and we cannot wait to return again. Thanks for making our stay great, even with the stormy weather!

A beautiful tranquil retreat. The cabin was amazing. Everything I needed and the site was just amazing. The hosts Jan and Ian were fantastic. So friendly and welcoming. Can’t rate this place highly enough for a lovely peaceful break.

The hut had everything you needed and much more, Jan and Ian go way beyond to make you feel welcome. The garden, lakes, views were beautiful and not forgetting the animals, we still feel privileged to have been able to share this.

There is nothing to dislike.
