Yuta Villa Ubud

La villa es perfecta para unos días en Ubud. Es espaciosa y tiene de todo. El personal, aunque no vimos a nadie el check in fue rápido y antes de la hora ya lo teníamos preparado. También para alquilar la moto muy rápido.

No está cerca de Ubud, pero sí que es verdad en Bali se necesita moto para todo.. así que tampoco era inconveniente. Es una villa apartada, pero tranquila

Location was good - although difficult to find if you’re not using Google Maps.

Sadly we were not told that there was a lot of building work going on and therefore the villa is surrounded by lots of noise throughout the day.

The villa was very clean and exactly as pictures show

Visitors must be aware that you are not allowed to use taxi applications to pick you up from this property. There are local taxi thugs that chase away your online taxis. They demand 3x the price to destinations. This was a huge annoyance for us.

- The villa matched the photo, feels new

The towel they provided was completely brown and covered in what looked like fecal stains. After reporting it, they just said they’d clean the room the next day and bring a new towel. But guess what? The room wasn’t cleaned the next day, and the “new” towel they brought was again stained with brown marks! On top of that, the water pressure was incredibly weak—more like a light drizzle than a proper shower. It was impossible to wash properly with just a slow drip of water. After reporting these issues, all I got was a simple apology—no real compensation or effort to make things right. There was also a cockroach in the room, but I didn’t even bother reporting it because, based on my previous complaints, all they ever did was give a useless apology without taking any real action. Also, be aware: the property is located in the middle of nowhere in a remote area. Having your own vehicle is pretty much essential. We didn’t have one since we planned to use Grab for the entire stay, but it turns out there’s an unspoken rule in the neighborhood where only local taxis are allowed—no Grab. I didn’t have much cash and preferred Grab because of the convenience, card payment, and no need to bargain. But when a local taxi driver saw I was being picked up by Grab, he aggressively approached me, warned the driver that Grab wasn’t allowed, and even started filming us. It was genuinely scary.

Only the facities

We originally booked 9 days at Yuta Villa Ubud but ended up checking out after only 4 days. The location was quite inconvenient — it’s far from shops and other necessities. Communication with the staff was also very slow; it took around 4 hours for them to respond to messages. We even got locked out of one of the rooms because the door was jammed — it took them 1 hour to respond, and luckily, I was able to fix it myself before they even replied on WhatsApp. The villa also lacked essential service information — there were no details provided about local laundry services, breakfast options, or cleaning services. Unlike other new villa accommodations where they clean the villa daily and are very responsive, this villa did not offer daily cleaning and communication was quite slow. On top of that, Gojek and Grab drivers had difficulty locating the villa when we tried ordering food, which made things even more inconvenient. We requested a refund for at least 2 unused days, but they refused. Instead, they offered free breakfast as compensation, which was disappointing considering we only stayed 4 days but still paid for the full 9-day booking. Additionally, there was no microwave in the villa, which made things less convenient. That said, the villa itself was clean and beautifully designed. It’s a lovely place, but unfortunately, the service and location did not meet our expectations.
