Sandy Bay Lodge

The view was fabulous! And it was wonderfully quiet. The lodge was clean, fresh and the host had kindly removed all kitchenware as we have dietary requirements... The host also provided additional duvets as it was winter.

Finding the place was a nightmare! Imagine hundreds of identical houses in identical cul de sacs asking identical roads with NO numbers on any of the lodges and hardly any signposting and try and find the house! It took about 2 hours to find! Even with phoning for directions. Host needs to improve sign posting and directions. Mattresses were very poor quality. I slept on the double bed master bedroom with en suite and the mattress was so soft you could feel the springs and I ended up with a bad back. Internet access was not available via the recommended WiFi settings. After allot of frustration the host recommended a different WiFi setting and password which finally worked. This could have been easily rectified had we been given these instructions at the beginning of our stay. We were all surprised that no booklet was provided explaining all the basics of the house: How to use WiFi How to turn on oven (which was not very clean at all) How to find the router How to navigate the whole complex How to use heating (even tho it was simple it should be in a book) Things to see and do Nearest grocery store Nearby facilities etc

Absolutely amazing lodge. Everything was immaculate and clean. Views were beautiful and the owners left us a welcome pack of goodies which I thought was a lovely touch. Will defo go back 100%

The lodge was extremely spacious, very well equipped, immaculately clean and in the most beautiful spot in the park. The hosts even left a lovely welcome hamper which was a very nice touch, and did make us feel welcome. The views from all windows in the lounge and kitchen were stunning and you get a beautiful view of the sunrise. We were there out of season so none of the facilities in the park were open, but that meant the park was extremely quiet which was nice in itself, and we were treated to a very pretty dusting of frost! We couldn't fault it and would love to go back.

If I had to really find something that could be improved, and it really is scraping the barrel, maybe a better mattress or a mattress topper in the master bedroom, and incorporating a bit of info about the on site facilities would be handy (opening times of the year), but that's mainly because the Park Dean website is pretty terrible for that!

It is absolutely fantastic, spotlessly clean, and the view is amazing booked an extra night it's that good.

Everything was perfect

Spacious, amazing view, comfortable and super clean. Hamper upon arrival was amazing. Great for small children.

Absolutely stunning lodge. Everything was absolute perfection. Best lodge we have stayed in, by far. Also had a lovely hamper full of food and drink on arrival. Hosts exceeded our expectations by a long way :-)
