I loved everything about my stay! Pawanraj went extra mile to make my stay comfortable and was available for any questions helping me to make the most of my stay in Varkala. The place is clean, quiet, and in walking distance from the beach. Moreover, guests have access to the kitchen and terrace (again- sparkling clean!). Pawan helped me to get my phone fixed and traveled with me to the mobile service shop. I felt very much looked after and safe as a solo traveller. Finally, the positive and vibrant energy of this place makes me want to come back next time I’m in Varkala.

This is the new business so there are few minor things which could be added to the existing offerings and I shared them with hosts - they welcome any suggestions and feedback, which only shows how much they care about their guests wellbeing.

everything!! ❤️ we love our stay here that we extended 1 more night. we also spent 1 day just lounging at home (staycation😂). ✓ one of the cleanest rooms and toilet we have seen ✓ we got the fan room, but it was cool and nice even in the afternoon... we also kept the windows open and didnt see any mosquitos at all. ✓ good wifi connection ✓ nice ambiance, super homey and comfy ✓ towels provided ✓free use of kitchen and fridge ✓location is around 900m to the North cliff, around 15min walk. ✓ quiet location with nice garden ✓ some small grocery store are walking distance ✓u can hop on a bus to/from varkala town/train stn with just a short walk to the main road ( u have to wait some minutes, tho) ✓ there is a big local market for vegetables, fruits, etc around 1.3km. (u can walk, like we did or get a tuktuk easily) ✓ most of all, we like our hosts -- Pawan, Sam, Shiva... super nice, friendly, chill and respectful lads. they always greet us with their beautiful smiles and asks if there is anything we need. ✓ worth the price will definitely recommend and stay here again if ever i find myself in Varkala. ❤️❤️❤️

This was a separate booking instead of an extension which for some reason wasn't available on Booking.com. See my previous review. I will reiterate the point about the excellent host, Parwan, and how he went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed for the 4 long days on a Zoom training I completed from there. He even purchased a higher table for me to use, and checked several times each day if I needed anything.

I stayed recently and came back because I had 4 days of online work to do, and knew it would be easier from here. I have my own data, but 4x 7hr Zoom days meant I needed good wifi which is dependable here. I love the location, the bed is super comfortable, and it's clean and quiet while also close enough to walk to everywhere you'd want to go. Its been raining, and I've loved sitting under cover on the roof, listening to it beating down on my breaks, and wandering to the cliff or another local spot for food. The hosts are so helpful and have gone above and beyond to ensure I am well looked after while my brain fries from the intense days online. It's super handy having access to a fridge and kitchen too.

Probably a Booking.com glitch, but when I went to extend my stay for two days it told me there was no available rooms, so I had to make an entirely new booking for the next two nights. Not an issue, just more of a heads-up. I really didn't want to have to find somewhere else, so it was good I asked.

Stayed here through a recommendation from a previous traveller. Quiet, shared kitchen, breezy upstairs room. A perfect space to refill my calm. Host/s are incredible Yoga Masters.

I was recommended this place by an Australian friend who had been a yoga student of the host, Parwan. As this was my first trip to Varkala and India, recommendations were what I was looking for and I wasn't disappointed. To be the first "official" guest and have no complications or complaints is a testament to how well prepared Pari and his partner were, to create the perfect place to stay. Bed was that perfect hard asian mattress, but thick enough that hip bones didn't dig into the base (as happens). Shower is cold, but wonderfully refreshing and with great pressure. Guest rooms are on the upper floor and have their own private bathrooms with shower and toilet. There is also a guest kitchen with all basic amenities including fridge for guest use, and a separate (shared with other guest/s) sitting area. A wonderfully healthy breakfast is supplied on request for a reasonable fee and WiFi is good. There is no laundry facility on site, but the host took our full bag somewhere and we had it back the next day. The house is located in a residential area away from the more heavily touristed part but within easy walking distance so it really is the best location if that's what you're looking for, and we loved it. , I should add that it has been incredibly hot during the day, and I was a little concerned I'd be too hotvat night with no A/C, but the fan and open windows were more than adequate because the house is kept cool with trees and design of airflow. Mosquito coils are provided, but I never saw one upstairs even though it's been raining at night.
