I like to be honest for others who like this photo to rent this apartment and say my feelings . Don’t be fooled about the beautiful photos. I agree only ONE thing. Apartment is modern and nice. All other things don’t get even closer what this owner Gabriela promised here! I rented 5 different similar apartments ( same cost per day) in past 2 weeks in Sicily in different city’s and I did write all of them 10 points glowing reviews because I was vey happy to be there and how I was treated from owner. I could not wait to finished my last 3 days in Siracusa to go out of this rental place.

* Apartment biggest PROBLEM for me was it was DIRTY! I am adding photos to see it. * I like to walk barefoot in my own home or any home but first half an hour I felt my feet’s were dirty , sink was filthy, coffee machines both dirty and the list is long. I took a paper towel to wipe the floor and result you see below photos * there is no bathrobe like promised *pillows where the cheapest version and not good * the biggest problem for me was No blanket. When I asked they brought a IKEA baby blanket 1.20 cm wide ( 4 foot wide) dirty blanket . ( I mean lightweight duvet you can buy cheap Queen or king size From IKEA *poor section of dishes , not even salad bowl to mix my own salad. Deposit EU 100 taken was not necessary because there is nothing to steal or broke. * Gabriela announced me when I was going in the apartment That the last quest broke their TV and technicians coming. I don’t want people fixing things when I am going to paid rental home ( I don’t even believe it’s was just broken with last quest) it’s just excuse. BELIEVE me! I don’t write bad reviews at all only if I have serious reason to let new renters to know what to ask from owners ( blanket, clean rooms, how things can work in writing, where to buy this brand of coffee cups and not to run multiple food chains to try to find it the right one) Lastly…. It’s in 3 floor to go go up 4 sets of stairs (32-34 steps and if you’re luggage is heavy it’s a challenging) Parking was a huge problem and if you rent a car to be aware there is challenges to park in this area and not to get your car scratched!

Our staying was cosy and easy. Gabriele, our host, was welcoming us at the front door and giving us all the needed information for our staying, he was always reachable and available for small needs that we had during our staying. The apartment is cosy and modern, there was definitely enough space for a couple, even when for some days we were both working contemporarily. It's located in Siracusa's city centre and it's easy to reach Ortigia by foot from there, as well as the modern Sanctuary and the S. Lucia church (if you want to take a look at the painting by Caravaggio hosted there). There are bars, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. We stayed for one entire week and it worked fine! Will surely consider it again for the future, if we happen to step by Siracusa again.

Just as a recommendation, keep in mind that the flat is at the 2nd floor without elevator - in case if you have small childs or you have certain accessibility needs. No real downsides during our staying!

Apartment is great, equiped with everything needed and very good wifi connection. Gabriele is the best host, answering anytime to any question we had. Thank you Gabriele!
