Ramadia Ran Mal Holiday Resort

The breakfast spread was good, and the location of the hotel is about 1 hour south of Colombo city center. But staying south Colombo, helped us connect to close by areas of Moratuwa and Mount Lavinia. Though my reservation was originally at Ramadia Ranmal Holiday Resort, I was provided a room at Ramadia Grand Holiday Resort, which is much better facility as the older one was totally rundown with significant hygienic issues (bed bugs, mosquitoes, and also an unwanted rodent).

While the breakfast spread was good, the same was not steaming hot. On some of the days the breakfast facility had some of the buffet units shut down (around 9.00am) even though the breakfast time was until 10.00am. At times, the hot water availability was restrictive, and there was not continuous supply of this. Furthermore, hotel was not able to provide a bucket despite repeated requests, and only after a couple of days it was advised that this is not possible.

The staff and the service was excellent.

It took a very long time to check out.

Some staff were friendly.

The rooms were not clean and outdated with a dire need for renovation.

The staff all over was very helpful and kind. Nice breakfast with a lot of options to choose from. Possibility to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant.
