Sailing Pool Villas & Resort Phu Quoc

Excellent + Excellent + Excellent! 6 of us stayed in the Sailing Villa with a private pool. The first "Excellent" goes to the incredibly supportive villa team. The pre-arrival arrangements from the villa managers, Nguyen Thuan and Nguyen Huong, were amazing. They were so helpful before we even arrived, arranging our airport pick-up, fulfilling our special request for yoga mats, and organizing a stop at a local restaurant before heading to the villa. They also handled our show pre-bookings, provided great SPA recommendations, and sorted all the bookings smoothly and with high quality. Both managers were on standby for our requests even late at night. For instance, when the air-conditioning got a bit noisy late one night, I informed Huong, and she arrived at our villa within 10 minutes to resolve the issue immediately. Truly impressive! The second "Excellent" is the hardware. The villa is spacious and luxurious—there was plenty of space for the 6 of us to do yoga at the same time in the common room! All the rooms were spotless, and we loved the smart TVs, the big swimming pool, and the beautifully maintained garden. The third "Excellent" is the location. It’s great—just a 10-15 minute drive from the airport, a 5-minute walk to the SPA, and a 5-minute free golf cart ride to the beach (Sailing Club—same group). It’s also only about 20 minutes to the city center to enjoy all kinds of local food and the night market. Once again, a huge thank you to both Huong and Thuan for their excellent, hearty service and the lovely gifts they gave us. Really appreciated, highly recommended, and we will definitely return!

pláž poblíž není ideální, z hotelů tam vypouští do moře splašky - je potřeba jet grabem na jiné pláže.

The villas were gorgeous. Amazing rooms, pools, bathrooms. Super large living areas. Thuận was amazing and was able to provide us with everything we needed!

It’s a bit out of the way from bars/restaurants so renting a bike is a good idea. Can walk to the night market and beach though!!

We absolutely loved our stay. The villa was a perfect oasis. Lush, green and well maintained. The pool is about 20 metres long so suitable for doing laps. Bring your goggles! Warm enough for swimming night or day. The bedrooms were spacious, especially the main room. All had ensuites. Beds super comfy. Air con easy to control. 5 min walk to the reception/restaurant and big pool. Great to have kitchen to cook if we desired (and a dishwasher and washing machine in the villa which was handy) . Highly recommend going to the restaurant for at least one buffet breakfast which was quite impressive. Easy to get cheap taxis through the Grab app to anywhere you want to go on the island. Several night food markets within 10 to 20 min drive. One walkable but much smaller. The Sailing Club/beach is a 15 minute walk or get the free 4 minute buggy ride on the hour. Can use sun lounges and towels at beach as long as you buy a drink. Highly recommend the Cable car (great views) and visit at the end to Aquatopia water park if you have kids of any age. We loved it. Booked a half day snorkelling trip, too, which was great- lots of fishes and corals (visibility okay- lots of plankton). Staff at Villa in daily contact to see if you need anything. Very helpful and responsive.

Only thing I guess would be a few paint touch ups here and there. There is a lot of new development happening on the island (which is a little sad because they’ve bulldozed large areas and I’ve no idea how they are going to attract the amount of tourists needed to fill them all) but the Villa is quiet and peaceful and feels like a world away from it even though some is fairly close by).

Overall this was an excellent stay. The location is very quiet, the villa was great, staff very helpful and kind and the villa pool was wonderful, even better than the main pool when kids want to splash around. The villa had a washing machine and dishwasher and we uses them daily which was great. We used GRAB to get around and it was just a 10 minute walk to the beach, but there is a buggy every hour. We paid for breakfast on site twice in 7 days which was fine. The food is great and the coffee excellent, we used this when we wanted to chill at the villa. It was 500'000 VND per adult, bit if you eat out at a local spot you would maybe only pay 20% of that, so good to try both. Staff were in contact every day to see if they could help and were veey quick to deal with replies. When you pay on arrival extra is charged for card payment, this is standard here, cash is king if you have it in advance. Book it, you will love it.

We rented a villa, but we did have a meal in the Lobby restaurant on the resort, food was good, choices were good, the bar was ok, they have a happy hour, buy one get one free on happy hour drinks menu, there is a gym, a sauna, swimming pools, though we had our own pool at the villa, which was great, every morning the pool was cleared of any fallen leaves, there is a buggy that goes to the beach every hour, lists of times are in the Lobby, we had a text message every morning to see if we required help with anything.

It is very difficult to have everything perfect. If I had to list something that I feel should have been there, it would be a room safe, which they did not have.
