ACHAHOUD CHEz LA BELLE FIBULLE

This hotel is outside of the tourist area Ben Haddou where you find much more peace and tranquillity. The hotel staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to satisfy our asks! We ate dinner there and this was one of the best chicken tagine we had and the couscous was delicious as well. The portions were really big and it was a good value for the money! We also had breakfast here and this was so far our best breakfast we had in Moroccoan budget hotel! As a note, I have read the "best breakfast in Morocco" feedback for many hotels on booking before, and we have visited many hotels over the last 3 weeks. This hotel so far served the best breakfast by a long shot! It's not just a lot of food, but very high quality food as well. The hotel has a very nice terrace and the view from the balcony was amazing. The room also was quite big and the beds were very comfortable.

There was no hot water, but that seems to be super common in hotels on the cheaper end.

The most friendly host! Hassan welcomed us with tea and cool water. He put a blanket under our car front window to prevent the heat from coming in. Good food! Excellent view!

Wonderful place for a stopover, friendly and lovely staff. We stopped there on our way to Tinghir for a coffee and fruit plate (delicious!). As we liked it so much, we decided to spend a night there on our way back from Merzouga to Marrakech. The host’s son Hamza welcomed us very warmly when he recognized us again. A very lovely place. The view is amazing and our dinner and breakfast was delicious (and a lot!)

The bathroom could be cleaner, but regarding the price, nothing to say really!

Loved the hospitality, what a beautiful place in the valley. Our kids played soccer with Hamza. The omelette was out of this world. And for a bird watcher, it’s a great hide out to watch some magnificent birds and learn their Berber names :).

Breakfast was amazing, best from all our trip to Morocco, friendly owner.

For dinner we got not freshly cooked tajine, but anyway, it was good and not expensive, owner's child asked for 'dirhams' when we went to the parking, it was confusing and annoying to see this behaviour of the kid. Also, we had to pay 2.5 eur for one person additional taxes.

If you have your own transportation consider this authentic place over the tourist trap that is Ait Ben Haddou... Only 20k further up the road you'll find the warmest of welcomes at half the price with the opportunity to really experience Morocco. The food is delicious (try the omelette berbère!!) and from their own garden. The rooms are spacious and scented with fresh flowers. The view from the terrace is out of this world. A real hidden gem!

This was my favourite place in my entire Morocco trip! Mr Lahcen is genuinely kind and generous. I informed him of my arrival time (night) and he was waiting for me, greeted with a lovely pot of delicious tea and peanuts and even orange juice. The breakfast was the best I had, delicious Berber omelette with lots of espresso coffee! The room is really amazing, so so comfy, beds and blankets are soft and warm, super clean, nice bathroom and hot shower but best of all was the balcony and terraces, the view of the valley is so beautiful with the stars and the moon and the sound of the river. I loved it here, I will return!
