"Relaxing 2 night stay with great accommodation!."

Everything was excellent. The breakfast was way over any expectations that we had. Fresh eggs cooked to order. One morning I had smoked Trout and the next morning was smoked Haddock. Different cereals available along with bread and pastries. Various wonderful spreads with the pastries. Fiona knows just about every person in the area and made great recommendations. The room was clean and comfortable. If we ever stay on Islay again I would definitely stay at Lake Gorm House.

"Perfect surroundings for a relaxing break on Islay"

Beautiful and luxurious bedrooms with every detail well thought out. Bathroom in the main bedroom was the largest I’ve ever seen, with stand alone bath and walk in shower. Lovely views from bedrooms. Fresh flowers in the rooms with ample choice of drinks, and fresh water and milk flasks topped up daily. Soft and comfy feather bedding. The attention to detail in this place is superb an the owner went out of her way to surpass expectations, from ensuring we had a real fire lit in the lounge after our day trips, to surprising my husband (birthday boy) with Bucks Fizz at breakfast. Breakfast incredible with more choice of fresh food than at most hotels and beautiful home cooking. Fiona the owner is an organiser and knows practically everyone on the island. Let her advise you on where to eat, good places to visit and taxi companies. She was very helpful and thoughtful too.

Beautiful location, with stunning views over the Loch. The breakfasts were amazing and the host was attentive and helpful. Even helping us book dinner at local restaurant before we were there.

Great location and a lovely breakfast very quiet. Lovely bathroom great shower.

Lounge area for guest had vintage furniture suited the house but very uncomfortable. Interaction with host was below expectations.
