City House New Orleans Samesun

The convenience to all amenities and security!

The hostel refused me to leave my bags before 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I had travelled 19 hours and needed a place to leave my bags and rush to the opening ceremony of my conference.

I stayed in the private bunk room, which was comfortable and quiet. Security is good, you have to use your pin multiple times to get into the hostel facility. The staff are friendly and the nightly group activities they run are a fun touch. The free breakfast was a continental style breakfast (mainly carbs with no proteins) but it’s free! It had the same feel as most hostels that I’ve stayed at.

The bathrooms were pretty gross, there was dirt and mildew in every bathroom. The entrance is located on a dark street with construction going on and I felt a little unsafe entering/exiting at night. They were doing work outside on the building facade which I wasn’t aware of and it woke me up. They don’t hold your bag past 12:30pm on the day you check out.

Shelby and Harley (my favs) along with Micha and Stratfort were awesome taking the guests all around the immediate area of City House to different venues was great fun. Shelby sorry for not always hearing you sometimes I just don’t listen. I also had a great time talking to them about life and current events. Location, location, location of City House is the biggest bonus if you want to people watch or just get sedated on Bourbon Street. The mini happy hour every night with the excursion afterwards helped to introduce every one that was interested.

Breakfast should be from 7-10:30am and maybe some oatmeal.
