"Excellent"

It’s a small room by USA standards, but a great value. My room was clean, the shower hot, AND they offered me an upgrade (I don’t know why). Bonus mirror by the bed! Some noise from other rooms and the bar. It’s in a working neighborhood, but you can walk two blocks to Mercado Santa Rosa for breakfast, fruit, and early dinner. Calle 5 is on the cooperative van route to port attractions: naval museum, Submarine Abtao, and Islas Palominos. It’s an inexpensive urban hotel run by nice, helpful people.

"Schlimme Gegend"

Nette Gastgeber, Haus ist abgeschlossen und nur über eine Klingel über einen Portier zu betreten. Gutes WLAN.. 24 h Rezeption hat uns gerettet. Aber ansonsten würden wir in dieser Gegend nie wieder irgendetwas buchen. Der Uber Fahrer warnte uns ebenfalls eindringlich!

Die Gegend ist allgemein ein Gewalt- Hotspot, was uns leider beim hektischen Buchen einer Unterkunft mit Einlass um 4 Uhr morgens nicht klar war. Im Haus wurde viel Musik gehört, herumgelaufen und laut gesprochen, was nicht so angenehm war.

La habitación cómoda, había televisión por cable. Los chicos de recepción muy amables.

Poca limpieza en el baño, antiguo, cortina vieja, no había ni tapa del water. Muchos ruidos en la noche, las habitaciones dan a un patio interno donde se estacionan autos: se sentían golpes, alarmas y hasta ladridos de perro. El barrio no es para nada agradable, llegamos a la puerta en taxi y nos volvimos a ir en taxi no da seguridad ni para caminar una calle

The staff is super nice and helpful! The water is HOT and can last for more than ten minutes, super rare!

The place doesn’t have hair dryer, but it is not a big deal. The wall is pretty thin, so lots of noise will come through.

"Very good"

Daniel and Luigi are fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had a good time in Callao. Daniel speaks English well and showed me several nice places to visit and learn about the area and it's history.

The hostel is a little far from most of what I planned to see.
